But you also want enough time to actually experience all of it — and to give the people travelling to Iceland with you the chance to experience it too.

Your Iceland wedding, over 2-days:
Late February in Iceland gives us something incredibly beautiful. Winter landscapes. Blue ice. Dark volcanic beaches. Waterfalls surrounded by winter. Soft, limited daylight.And, with a little luck from Iceland, perhaps even the Northern Lights.
But that limited daylight is exactly why I don't want to build your wedding around trying to squeeze an ice-cave ceremony, your guests, several locations and all the photographs Denise is excited about into one increasingly hurried day.
Northern Passage gives us space.
One day can be about getting married. The other can be about experiencing Iceland.
Day 1: Into the ice
This is your wedding day.
And I want the heart of it to remain very simple:
You two. Your family and friends. Your niece standing with you as your officiant. And an ice cave in Iceland.
We'll build the day around the journey to Katla rather than treating the cave as another stop on a long location list.
There will be time to get ready.
Time for those first photographs and the anticipation before leaving.
Then we'll make our way toward the glacier with your guests and the private glacier team: Katlatrack.
The drive. The super jeeps. The equipment. The walk into the ice. All of that is part of the experience.
And eventually, inside the cave, everything gets quiet again. Your niece leads your ceremony.
Once you're married, I want there to be room to enjoy it.
Photographs inside the ice. Time with your guests. Photographs of just the two of you. Celebration.
And that slightly surreal moment of looking around and realising:
We actually just had our ceremony here.
Then we make our way back from the glacier without another huge itinerary waiting for us.
Day 2: Iceland without rush
This is the part I especially love for you.
Because we haven't tried to squeeze everything into your wedding day, Day Two can feel completely different.
Less ceremony. Less anticipation. More: We're married. Let's go experience Iceland.
The possible places to experience for the day:
Day One gives us ice. Day Two gives us space.
We'll have time for photographs of the two of you without watching the clock every few minutes, while your guests get to experience one of the landscapes that makes this part of Iceland so extraordinary.
What Two Days Give You
This is the real reason I'd choose Northern Passage for your wedding. It isn't simply twice as much time.
It gives your ceremony space.
Your ice-cave wedding doesn't need to share its attention with five other locations.
It gives your guests an Icelandic experience.
They've travelled a very long way to celebrate with you. We can let them actually see some of the country rather than spending the entire wedding day moving them from one schedule item to another.

We don't have to sacrifice experience to create variety.

We create a strong plan, but we don't become emotionally attached to a timetable Iceland may decide to rewrite.
February can bring snow, wind, changing road conditions and shifts in glacier access.
That's why the experience will be designed with flexibility from the beginning.
I'll watch the weather and conditions as we get closer, work with the people responsible for your glacier access, and build backup thinking into the plan rather than waiting until something goes wrong.
You don't need to spend the week before your wedding trying to become an Icelandic weather expert.
I'll carry that part.
