I live in Vík, South Iceland, where glaciers, black sand beaches and weather that changes its mind three times before lunch are part of everyday life.
I've spent years photographing and helping couples plan their elopements in Iceland. And one thing I've learned is that the best wedding days aren't necessarily the ones with the most locations or the biggest adventures.
They're the ones where the couple actually gets to enjoy being there.
I bring the local knowledge, planning experience and a fairly practical approach to Iceland's unpredictability. You bring the two of you and an idea of how you'd like your day to feel.

From the very beginning, it was so easy and comfortable to be around both Lisa and Hjörli (our driver), as if we had known them for much longer. By the end of the day, it felt like we had gained so much more than just beautiful photographs.
Neither of us is particularly comfortable posing in front of a camera, but somehow we completely forgot we were being photographed. Lisa captured not only the big moments, but also all the small, genuine moments that happened naturally throughout the day, and those are some of our favourite memories. We loved that the day never felt like a forced photoshoot. We got to do what we love, hiking through spectacular views, relaxing in a hot spring, and simply living in the moment. Everything felt intentional yet completely natural, and Lisa captured it all so beautifully.

Eloping in South Iceland.
One of the things I love about South Iceland is how much you can experience without spending your entire wedding day in a car.
Around Vík and along the South Coast, you'll find black sand beaches, waterfalls, glaciers, volcanic landscapes and places that feel wonderfully far from everything.
But having so many possibilities doesn't mean we need to visit them all.
We'll choose places that make sense together, consider the season and travel time, and leave room to actually enjoy being there. Because sometimes the best decision we make is choosing one less location.

Sometimes the Best Plan Is the One We Change.
A beautiful location is a wonderful starting point. But there's quite a lot that happens between finding somewhere beautiful and creating a wedding day that actually feels like you.
Take Olivia & Hunter, for example.
Their Iceland elopement almost didn't happen the way we'd imagined. Rain changed what was possible, and the F-road we'd planned to use was still closed.
So we changed the ceremony location, rethought where we'd explore afterwards, and built a different plan around the conditions we actually had.

Long before your elopement day arrives, I'm checking weather forecasts, reviewing road conditions, working through backup plans and making sure the details of your experience actually work together.
And then there's everything that comes with me on the day.
Hand warmers, extra layers, snacks, hot coffee, a satellite phone and the occasional pair of crampons when conditions call for them.
Some of these things you'll never need. Others might become your favourite part of a particularly cold Icelandic morning.
It's all part of looking after you, so you can spend less time thinking about the practical stuff and more time enjoying your wedding day.
