ICE CAVE
ELOPEMENT PACKAGE
Iceland ice cave and glacier elopements and weddings.
Meet Your Ice Cave & Glacier Elopement Photographer: Lisa.
I’m beyond excited to welcome you to the world of adventurous elopements in Iceland’s awe-inspiring glaciers and ice caves. With almost 10 years of photography experience, I specialise in ice cave and glacier elopements.
Ice caves and glaciers are my happy place, and I can’t wait to show them to you!
Safety is incredibly important when visiting ice caves and glaciers. That’s why I only work with tour companies that prioritise safety and have also shown they care deeply about keeping their clients safety.
When this is done, your ice cave and glacier elopement will be incredible!
-Lisa

“Is it safe to get married in an ice cave or on a glacier?”
You’re not alone in wondering. A lot of adventurous couples love the idea of saying their vows inside a glowing blue ice cave or standing together on ancient glacier ice—but they also worry about slipping, freezing, or putting themselves at risk in the process.
Let’s clear this up right away: yes, it can be safe, comfortable, and unforgettable.
“Will we be freezing in our wedding clothes?”
Here’s how we will make sure you will stay warm on the glacier and inside the ice caves.
“What if we travel all that way and the weather ruins everything?”
Iceland is wild, raw, and utterly breathtaking—but it’s also famously unpredictable. One minute the skies are clear, and the next… you’re in the middle of sideways rain, howling wind, or whiteout snow.
Here’s how I tackle unpredictable Icelandic weather—so your day still feels epic, no matter what.

Do you have questions about ice caves and glacier elopements? We have the answers.
-
I only work with the most reliable, experienced glacier guides. The ice caves I recommend are all accessed with professional, certified guides who monitor the caves daily. They know exactly when it’s safe to enter, and they scout out new caves every season as old ones naturally collapse or change.
We plan your elopement around the best cave access times. I’ll guide you on the ideal season for your ice cave elopement—typically between mid-October and early April, when the caves are stable and fully formed.
-
We follow Leave No Trace principles—always. This means we stay on durable ground, avoid disturbing delicate landscapes (like volcanic moss or glacial edges), and leave the area better than we found it.
I choose locations that can support visitors responsibly. Not all beautiful places in Iceland are meant for foot traffic. I’ll help you choose ceremony and photo spots that are safe, accessible, and not ecologically sensitive, so you don’t have to worry about causing unintended damage.
We reduce waste, skip the fluff, and go for meaning. No plastic decor, no litter, no unnecessary packaging. I’ll help you design a wedding day that feels beautiful without being excessive—focusing on natural beauty and thoughtful touches instead of things that end up in the bin.
I partner with like-minded vendors. From guides to florists to transportation providers, I work with professionals who care about sustainability, respect Iceland’s landscapes, and help uphold ethical practices every step of the way.
Want to offset your travel impact? I’ve got you. I can point you toward carbon offset options and give tips for making your entire trip more earth-conscious, from where you stay to how you move through Iceland.
-
I only recommend and work with local businesses. From glacier guides to florists, jeep drivers to cozy guesthouses—I choose people and teams that live and work here in Iceland. These are professionals who care deeply about this land, know it intimately, and treat it with respect.
Your money goes back into the local economy, not global corporations. That’s why I direct your budget toward people who protect Icelandic nature, value cultural sensitivity, and keep this country beautiful for the long haul.
We support sustainable tourism, not mass tourism. This means using locally-owned accommodations, sustainable transportation options when possible, and glacier teams that operate with environmental responsibility as a core value, not just a marketing line.
I’m ready for this. What happens next?
