You’ll meet me and your glacier guide at Katlatrack’s basecamp in the little town of Vík — AKA, my second home. From there, we’ll hop into a monster super jeep (yes, the kind that looks like it could climb a volcano) and bounce our way across wild terrain.

Once we park, it’s just a short 15-minute walk to the ice cave — enough time to soak up the views, get those butterflies going, and mentally rehearse the big question one more time (or just let your heart do the talking — that works too).
