1.) Choosing the date and narrowing down the area.
Book a call with me and we’ll have a deep chat about your vision for your day. Having photographed for over eight years, I’ll share my expertise and help you two pick the absolute best general area in Iceland for your elopement.
2.) Planning your day in Iceland.
You will be assisting you with the following:
Customized location ideas: All of the photos you’ve seen on our site are in locations the couple had no idea existed until they hired us. You’ll get a customized, highly-curated list of the best elopement locations that fit your day.
Local vendor suggestions: Once you’ve narrowed in on the spot, we’ll share our curated list of go-to vendors who can help elevate your day even further: local florists, hair & makeup artists, private chefs, professional 4×4 drivers, ice cave adventure or maybe enjoying in the hot springs?
Exclusive Elopement Planning Resources in Iceland: Multiple couples have said that planning their day is like planning a trip with their good friend who knows everything about Iceland! You will be always getting the next steps on what to do and have some of the best local information on having your day in the country.
3.) Creating the timeline
Closer to your day, you will be getting a timeline for your day and ensuring that no matter what the time of the year will be, there will be 1.) Outside of the busiest time when tourists will visit the spots 2.) There will be good lighting for the pictures. 3.) There is time on your day so you can relax and enjoy the adventure without feeling rushed.
4.) You will get married and your day will be documented.
Your day won’t feel like a stressful, rushed, all-day photoshoot. My approach is for you to feel safe, comfortable and yourself on your day. Capturing the moments when you are lost in Iceland’s beauty. It’s about just being yourself and having the most meaningful day of your life.
5.) Pictures are here!
Within the next couple of days, you will receive your first sneak peek photos and the rest of your gallery will be delivered within the next 2-6 weeks.

Even though we were more than 7000 kilometres apart, Lisa was always available via email, phone, and video chat.
We both knew we were not the type of people who would enjoy being the centrepiece of attention at a big, glorious wedding with an endless itinerary and hundreds of guests. I will find you a new day in my calendar if you need to postpone your elopement. I have been always able to find an available date with my couples. If you decide to cancel your elopement, the deposit won’t be returned since I have kept your date secured and it covers the cost of the work I have already done for you.

In the 6-hour package, you can decide if you want to have getting-ready pictures or only focus on the ceremony and locations. With 6 hours, there is time for 3-4 locations, and you will have enough time to enjoy each location fully.

For instance, if you plan to visit a location that requires a long drive, you may need to limit the number of locations you visit to ensure that you have enough time to travel between each location. Additionally, some locations may require permits or have limited access, which can also impact the number of locations you can visit.

The answer is: no, you don’t need to hike on your elopement day if it’s something you don’t want to have. There are many gorgeous spots to visit that you can access without hiking. If you choose to hike with your wedding attire on, here are a couple of tips: get dressed in your hiking boots to make the hiking easy. There are tricks to keep your train tidy, but let’s say the dirtier it gets, the more fun there has been!
Your elopement day
You will be arriving at Keflavik International Airport. From the airport, you can rent a car or have a pickup at another car rental office.
If you choose this option you will travel to your accommodation where Lisa will meet you and discuss elopement details.
Day of the elopement we will travel together where Lisa will be documenting your emotions, first look, and relationship in general until you are ready to begin your ceremony which takes place outdoors at the location you have chosen with a beautiful backdrop view of Iceland’s nature. Before the ceremony we will make sure all the paperwork is taken care of, after that, you can travel around Iceland or stay put depending on what kind of trip it is, either way, we make sure that everything turns out how it is meant to be!
After your ceremony, more pictures will be taken of the two of you in the landscapes you have chosen for your day. If you have wished to have a special activity for your day (ice caving, kayaking, or else), that will be taken care of and photographed.
