Iceland Experience

Ceremony at Skogafoss

My hope isn't simply that you leave Iceland with beautiful photographs.

It's that years from now, you look back and say:

"That was one of the best experiences of our lives."

The Experience We Are Creating.

You wake up in Vík.

Coffee in hand.

No guests to coordinate. No timeline to manage.

Just anticipation.

Watching the weather outside.

The adventure begins.

Then stepping into landscapes that feel impossibly large. Getting married at one of the most unique places our planet Earth offers for us.

Often the moments couples remember most aren't the grand ones.

They're the quiet moments they never expected.

This isn't a wedding built around a hectic schedule.

It's an experience built around the two of you.

What I Heard From You

During our conversation, a few things stood out to me.

You aren't looking for a traditional wedding day.

You're looking for an experience that feels completely your own.

A day with space to breathe. Time together.

And photographs that allow you to relive it all for years to come.

Getting legally married in Iceland

Step 1: Apply through Sýslumaður

Certificate of marital status, which needs to be issued within 8 weeks prior to the elopement date.

The following documents are good to submit 4-weeks before the elopement date

  • Marriage notification from Hjónavígsluskýrsla, District of Magistrate in Reykjavík.

  • The birth certificates of both parties are attached to the Marriage application form. Originals can be returned after the wedding ceremony.

  • Only originals or officially authorised copies (with a stamp or seal) are accepted.

  • A divorce decree, if either party is divorced. If the bride/groom is a widower, a document detailing how the estate of the deceased has been divided/finalized.

  • Valid passports of both parties.

  • Airline ticket (showing entry/exit of the country)

  • Passport copy of trustworthy person 1

  • Passport copy of trustworthy person 2

If documents do not arrive within this timeframe, the marriage is considered cancelled.

After this, you will receive your legal permit to get married in Iceland.

Your officiant will submit the papers, and your marriage is legal! <3

Ready To Make It Official?

If this experience feels like the right fit, the next step is securing your date.

All I need from you is:

  • Both of your full names

  • Home addresses

Usually, with the agreements, 50% of the package is invoiced as a booking fee. We can customise the other 50% to be invoiced in September, and you can inform me which payment schedule would work best for you :)!

And from there?

We begin turning ideas into an experience.

One intentional step at a time.
