You don’t mind getting on a muddy trail if it’s ready to take you on some of the most unbelievable spots of Iceland -You already know how the country and weather work.
Or scratch that and make the day even more YOU. Like, try to find a way to get the sheep back to the US with you.
Your ceremony at Budakirkja:
As mentioned, getting married at Budakirkja has become more and more popular. It will be good to check already on how the church has availability, even if you don’t have a specific date on your mind.
Price list for renting Búðakirkja
Rental of Búðakirkja is in the hands of the church keeper, and all inquiries should be sent by e-mail to: budakirkja@gmail.com
Ceremonies in Búðakirkja church or on the church grounds
The church and grounds can be rented for one, two or three hours.
Please note that not everything is allowed in each timeslot
- One hour rent is 46.000 ISK
- Two-hour rent is 52.000 ISK
- Three-hour rent is 63.000 ISK

A mix of candid storytelling photos + stunning portraits
Food stops, and mini-adventures along the way; for example hiking or visiting the ice caves.
Flexibility around weather (huge in Iceland!)
A whole day that feels like a once-in-a-lifetime journey
Have a driver for the day who will be taking you to the lesser-known places in Iceland for full privacy.

1.)Your Date Is Officially Reserved
Once the contract is signed and the booking fee (50% of the package) is paid:
Your date is locked exclusively for you
The private ice cave experience is reserved with the glacier team
Your elopement becomes my top planning priority
From this point on, I’m fully in your corner.

4. Custom Location & Timeline Planning
Based on your answers and our conversations, I’ll:
Create custom location recommendations tailored to you
Design a flowing, realistic timeline for your day
Factor in light, weather, privacy, and energy
Build in flexibility and backup options
You won’t be handed a rigid schedule — you’ll receive a plan that breathes.
5.) Final Details & Gentle Guidance
As your date approaches, I’ll guide you through:
Final timing and logistics
What to wear and bring
How the private ice cave experience will unfold
Any last questions or “what ifs”
