What I remember about this ceremony isn't simply that Dulce and Christopher got married at Skógafoss.
It's how naturally the ceremony belonged there. That's an important distinction when we're choosing locations for an elopement.
I don't want to begin with: Which Iceland landmark do we need a photograph in front of?
I'd rather understand what you're creating first.
If the ceremony is quiet and deeply private, we might choose somewhere with space around you. If ritual and connection with the natural environment are important, the landscape can play a much more active role.
And sometimes, as it did for Dulce and Christopher, standing beneath a waterfall while an Icelandic goði guides you through your ceremony makes complete sense.
